Female Danaid Eggfly and Plain Tiger

Female Danaid Eggfly and Plain Tiger UN
On the left we have a female Danaid Eggfly (Hypolimnas misippus) and on the right two Plain Tigers (Danaus chrysippus). The Tiger on the left is a female and that on the right is a male. The most striking difference between the Eggfly and the Tiger is in the black and white pattern along the edges of the wings. Also, the Eggfly has two black spots on the hind wing, while the Tiger has three (The male Tiger has an extra black and white spot).

On the upper side, the main difference is again in the wing borders. Further, the Eggfly has only one black spot on the hind wing. It is near the front edge and so is not visible in this picture. The Tiger has three spots on the upper side of the hind wing - one of them is visible here. From above, the body colour and pattern are also different.
