Genus Dysgonia
|
Delhi, August 2001 |
This moth is very close to the species Dysgonia stuposa. Roger Kendrick has pointed out certain differences: "I think the outer (apical) edge of the forewing
medial band is neither the right shape or diffuse enough, nor is the
medial band broad enough for Dysgonia stuposa." I have gone through various images of D. stuposa on the web, and find there is a fair amount of variation. The sketch below marks the most obvious difference between this moth and D. stuposa.
